Alberta: Beauty Within- Ballet Photo Series in Waterton
Our Alberta: Beauty Within photo series is back! Beauty Within is a photo-series that highlights the province’s art scene by setting ballerina’s against various iconic landscapes and scenes throughout the province.
The concept began back in 2013 as Kevin (my husband and fellow photographer) and I were discussing Alberta's global reputation. We've both travelled & lived abroad and find it very interesting (yet often disheartening) when it comes to people's thoughts on our province. There is so much energy in our province, and such an exciting arts scene emerging that we wanted to highlight. We are already well known for our beautiful landscapes and serene nature and decided to add a ballerina, a symbol of something not-so-well known into the photo series. We began this project to start a conversation and highlight the amazing things happening in our province.
Feel free to check out some of our previous series, that were shot in Lake Louise, Calgary and Dinosaur Provincial Park
This series, we headed south to Waterton Lakes National Park. We had (as always!) an amazing team with us! BIG thanks to everyone for all your hard work and making the drive out there:)
