Kendal + Kevin Photography | Year in Review 2018 | Part 1

Wow.. It's 2019? And almost February?! Guess that old adage that time speeds up as you grow old is coming true.

Last year was by far our busiest season yet (thanks Grandma, Grandpa, Mimi + Pa!) It was a whirlwind of inspiration, hard-work, laughter, sleepless nights + ultimately thankfulness for our amazing clients that believe in our vision and trust us with their most precious memories. We wouldn't change a thing but we did learn about our limits, as photographers and as parents to our dear baby boy Brighton.

As our business has grown it's been extremely rewarding, but also ever-more pressing is the need to find a balance between 'K+K Photography' (our work) and 'Mama, Dada + Buggy' (our home life). Brighton turns 2 tomorrow and we're so proud of the little man that he is turning out to be. We love him so much and he teaches us how to be curious about the world each and every day (an invaluable lesson). So, how do we push forward, on both ends of the life/work spectrum?

Well, we're more excited + inspired than ever about the upcoming year. We're launching Kindred - a Collective of inspired photographers + filmmakers. This will be a chance to reach even more amazing couples and grow a strong community within the local industry. We're also excited to be expanding our craft into videography. Kevin has quietly been working his hand as a filmmaker, taking our storytelling approach to a whole new medium (psst… he’s pretty good too). And last but not least, we have so many wonderful upcoming weddings that we get to be a part of (it's truly hard to believe sometimes…) It's an exciting time to say the least and we can't wait to see where 2019 takes us!
