Kendal + Kevin Photography | Year In Review 2019 - Part 1

2020 is here and we’ve got say, it has a pretty nice ring to it! We can’t wait for all of our amazing weddings + elopements coming up this year. From pristine beaches + mountain-tops all the way back to pubs and restaurants in the city, this is going to be a year on the move and full of adventure! But first… it’s time to do our annual look back at our favourite moments from the past year.

2019 managed to be our busiest season yet (and once again - thanks to our lovely parents for making it all possible by watching + loving Brighton!) As we came to the end of the summer, we hit our 100th wedding shot together as husband + wife (crazy!) We couldn’t be more grateful to have so many wonderful couples that have trusted us and invited us to join alongside their friends + family. It’s truly an honour to capture such incredible celebrations and we still feel like we just shot our first wedding yesterday.

It was also a year of change - we launched a photography collective named Kindred, we moved homes (we’ll miss you Inglewood!) and started offering videography services (check out more here). At times it all felt a little overwhelming, but now starting the new year, it has really all paid off. As we sit in our new mid-century gem of a home, we’re feeling settled, happy with life and itching to take things to the next level this year (psst… keep an eye out for new branding + website coming soon). We’re also more and more conscience of our impact on this world and so we’re going to be partnering with Tree Canada, a charity dedicated to planting and nurturing trees within Canada. It really feels like the least we can do for this beautiful place we get to live + work and we’re so excited to be able to incorporate a little more ‘good’ in our business.
