Meaghan + Ryan | Banff Elopement Photographers | Peyto Lake Wedding

We love Elopements. We understand they’re not for everyone but if you are on the fence these days, then now might be the time. Elopements are an amazing way to way to celebrate the two of you… your love, your day, your way. Beautifully simple.

Meaghan and Ryan eloped from Manitoba to Peyto Lake. We met them during the last few moments of getting ready at The Post Hotel in Lake Louise Village, and there was a little tinge of nervous excitement in the air! We like to start our coverage well before the ceremony as it’s a better way to start your story and it’s a great chance to get comfortable having camera’s around (we’re not very scary though - promise).

Afterwards we made our way to Peyto Lake (easily one of our favourite locations in Banff). The view is always stunning but the skies spoiled us a bit this evening. Meaghan and Ryan exchanged their vows to each other against the perfect backdrop, with just their lovely officiant (Grant Tolley), ourselves and the chipmunks watching. We absolutely love the contrast of how intimate elopements can feel versus the vastness of the Canadian rocky mountains. Magical.

Thanks again for having us be there to capture your ceremony - it was such an honour being your witnesses and telling your story :)
