Choosing your venue is maybe the toughest step in wedding planning. There are so many amazing options and it pretty much defines the whole day. There are logistics like accommodation and capacity limits, but you also want all of the intangibles to be just right… the food, the staff, the vibe, etc… It’s a choice that you want to feel good about right from day one (no second thoughts!)
Having shot over 200 weddings together, we have been lucky enough to work in so many beautiful venues. We also have a pretty unique behind-the-scenes look at a lot of places. While we typically share stories about our lovely clients, we figured we would start a series of our absolute favourite venues with the hope of helping all those newly engaged couples out there :)

Why We love it: Where to start? The food is consistently amazing, the staff are the friendliest and the setting itself is beautiful. Deane house has so much character and their gardens are some of the prettiest in the city! The Elbow + Bow Rivers are right there and maybe the biggest thing we love is the variation you can have within this venue. There’s the tent, the gardens, a few different lawn spaces and of course inside as well. Each of these areas has their own personality and together they make magic!
