With how busy 2022 was, we didn’t quite get around to sharing a lot of our work. We’re now finally in a space where we can reflect and start to share some of the many beautiful wedding days that we have captured!

Jennifer and Nevan got married in the Fall at one of our favourite spots - Emerald Lake Lodge! This place is magical year round but the Fall colours really push the scenic vibes to the next level. And something about the remoteness and the lack of service creates an intimate atmosphere where everyone is always so present and relaxed. There’s simply no distractions, and this shared experience is absolutely perfect for a wedding day.

Even though we’ve worked many many times at Emerald Lake Lodge, each day has it’s own unique storyline and Jennifer and Nevan’s was no different. They got ready and then held a traditional tea ceremony in the stunning Point Cabin (complete with door games beforehand… these were hilarious!)

After the ceremony, Jennifer changed into a white wedding dress and they held a beautiful first look at the stunning viewpoint, overlooking the lake. (If you’re on the fence about a First Look, we find it is always such a calming moment for both of you on your wedding day. The nervous energy melts away into a softer, more confident excitement) Afterwards Jennifer and Nevan held their wedding ceremony at the viewpoint with their closest friends and family.

We finished our coverage with some couple portraits wandering around the lake. We love portraits as it allows us time and space to be creative, but it also allows time for our couples to decompress and be together. Wedding days consists of being surrounded by all your favourite people, but it’s also nice to balance in some quiet moments as well.

Congrats again you two - You complement each other so well and it was a honour being your photographers! Thank you for trusting us to capture this amazing day!
