Waterton Mountain Elopement | Alberta Wedding Photographers

Growing up in Southern Alberta, Waterton has always been Kevin’s favourite place and he quickly introduced this beautiful mountainscape to me (Kendal). One of our first dates was hiking up Bear’s Hump and we’ve done a lot of exploring in the area over the last 10 (woah!) years together. Waterton National Park can certainly be a wild, windy, rugged place but it’s also incredibly magical.

We had a ton of weddings cancelled last spring (oh, covid) and were just really excited to get shooting again after a long winter. We dreamed up this shoot with Saaraa from Blush & Co. Events and are so happy we made it happen. We still can’t believe how many amazing vendors volunteered their time and skills to being a part of this shoot. We were so honoured to have brought together this talented group to inspire creativity, intention and richness in modern South Asian wedding designs. We hiked to the most beautiful view for the ceremony, with the mountains as our witnesses. Followed by a sunset picnic in the most gorgeous field (it was filled with yellow wildflowers and we could not have planned the view any better). Complete with chartuterie, cake and bubbles… it was an absolutely perfect day!

And Mehak + Shaz, dannnnngggg… these two really made everything come together. They are the absolute sweetest couple, they shared the most beautiful vows and really embraced this amazing day as their own.
