Lisa + Dylan | Intimate Wedding in Kananaskis | Banff Elopement Photographers

Even though we’re technically well into Spring here in Alberta, the outdoor colour palette is still a ‘moody’ sort of brown… That said, we know things are ready to pop and it’s got us seriously dreaming of colour!

With provincial parks opening up, yet still restrictions on larger gatherings, this is definitely going to be a wedding season defined by elopements and intimate micro-weddings - two things we absolutely love to photograph! Even before this pandemic took hold, we have been documenting small, intimate wedding celebrations for couples all over the the Alberta Rockies.

Last fall, Lisa + Dylan had a romantic intimate wedding with their immediate family in the Spray Lakes Valley. We found a perfect lakeside ceremony location in Kananaskis and they had a beautiful ceremony with all their favourite people standing around them, surrounded by love. We keep getting asked how to set up a ‘socially distanced’ wedding ceremony and here’s a great example of a space where it would be an easy + natural setup. Looking through this set, it brings back such joyous memories from the day and we simply can’t imagine a more beautiful day.
