Lindsay + Matt | Kananaskis Engagement Adventure Session | Calgary Wedding Photographers
We absolutely love what we do and so the announcement last week that Alberta’s Provincial Parks would be opening was such a positive change + a very welcomed sign of hope for the summer months.
We know we are still in the early stages of this pandemic but we’re optimistic that we’ll be able to safely continue mountain shoots this summer, including elopements, intimate celebrations and engagement sessions.
Last fall (…which kinda seems like 5 years ago), we met up with Lindsay + Matt for their engagement shoot - and it was a reminder of why we absolutely LOVE these sessions. We got to share stories (and probably a few bad jokes) along with a couple craft beers (thanks again for bringing them guys!) In the end (and with a chance this will sound corny), we simply had a beautiful shared experience together.
Now that everything has been brought to a halt, we are realizing that we’re guilty for taking some things for granted - working in the outdoors + connecting with people. We always knew this was our passion, but it has never been so evident as it has in the past two months.
Today we took our first drive to the mountains in a couple of months (pretty sure this is the longest either of us have ever spent in the city!) We had a little family adventure paired with some scouting for a few upcoming mountain elopements. To say we’re excited to celebrate with our couples once again is an understatement. It’s hard to know when the time will come to photograph and film full blown weddings again, but for now we can’t wait to get back outdoors and start shooting again (albeit in smaller numbers).
